Twinkle Lily

Well today marks 2 years of Twinkle Lily being in business and what a 2 years it has been!

The last year in particular has been an enormous growth spurt both in business and personal development. 

From only being able to see ahead 1 week at a time, I really have changed my outlook and can now see myself in 5 years time.

It's been a hard road with many mistakes made along the way, but I've always come out on top.  I pride myself on my customer service skills and keep getting told that too :)

So to celebrate I am holding a 15% off everything store wide, including all custom orders taken.

Did you know that we have a lovely range of botanical perfumes on our Miessence site?

 

All Miessence products are certified organic and these gorgeous perfumes have been hand blended using pure natural oils, absolutes and extracts.

There are six fragrances – Love, Wild, Delicious, Free, Brave and Calm.  Even the names are lovely, aren’t they?

Love is a soft floral scent that is summery and romantic.  It is a blend of frangipani, orange blossom, damask rose and ylang-ylang.  Delicious is described as a gourmand botanical, with its notes of chocolate, honey and vanilla.  How sweet and sensual this fragrance is.  Calm sounds like the one I need for those difficult days.  It smells of bergamot, geranium and lavender but is balanced beautifully by a touch of spice from the woody oils.

 

Each blend beautifully packaged in an exotic shaped bottle and canister. They would make a lovely gift.

If you can’t make up your mind which perfume sounds like the one to suit you why not try a sample size?  The samples are a tiny 1ml in size but, being organic essential oils, will last well.  A little goes a long way.

Just because you have to carry a nappy bag with you doesn’t mean it has to LOOK like a nappy bag.  After all, how is a bag printed with tiny teddies or sheep supposed to go with your outfit?

We stock two different styles of nappy bag and they are both gorgeous. 

One is a nappy travel bag made by ISM.  If you didn’t know it had nappies in it you would just look at it and admire it as a bag.  This bag will have a life far beyond nappies!  The bag is actually a 5 piece set which includes a large travel sized bag, clip on envelope pouch, key chain, luxury thick changing pad and hard plastic refillable wipes case.  It is waterproof and washable.  The bag comes in different colours, too. 

The other bag is divine.  It is by Lillipilli and it is a stunning brocade bag that looks nothing like the traditional nappy bag.  This really is a bag that can do anything.  IT can be a nappy bag or converted into a shoulder bag or backpack.  It has lots of pockets and is lined with a waterproof fabric.

The brocade is available in a choice of pink or blue, both on a black background.  This is a very sophisticated and stylish bag that you could take with you even to the most formal family events.

We hear a lot of people talking about the way disposable nappies are clogging up rubbish bins and landfill yet very little is ever said about menstrual pads.  We know that disposable pads are made of materials that don’t easily break down so they must be stacking up in the tips throughout the country too.

Cloth pads are not only better for the environment but they are better for you too.  Some of bleach and chemicals that make up non-cloth pads are linked to cancer.  Why would you want to wear those against your skin and take the risk?

Our cloth pads are reusable and should last you for years.   They are easy to use and even easier to launder!  Just soak them in a bucket of cold water and then toss them in with your regular wash.

Our pads are made with a core soaker of bamboo fleece attached to a hidden layer of organic jersey and topped with matching coloured bamboo velour and an outer funky designer cotton print outer. A hidden leakproof layer of polyurethane laminate will keep you protected but still allow your skin to breathe.  They come in sizes that will cope with everything from a small to heavy flow.  

We make our cloth pads with some really funky patterns.  You know what I like about cloth pads?  I can choose one to suit my mood!  Red for my grumpy days and floral for fun days.  You can’t do that with regular pads, can you?
