We hear a
lot of people talking about the way disposable nappies are clogging up rubbish
bins and landfill yet very little is ever said about menstrual pads. We know that disposable pads are made of materials that
don’t easily break down so they must be stacking up in the tips throughout the
country too.
Cloth pads
are not only better for the environment but they are better for you too. Some of bleach and chemicals that make up
non-cloth pads are linked to cancer. Why
would you want to wear those against your skin and take the risk?
Our cloth
pads are reusable and should last you for years. They are easy to use and even easier to
launder! Just soak them in a bucket of
cold water and then toss them in with your regular wash.
Our pads
are made with a core soaker of bamboo fleece attached to a hidden layer
of organic jersey and topped with matching coloured bamboo velour and an outer funky designer cotton
print outer. A hidden leakproof layer of polyurethane laminate will keep you protected but still allow your skin
to breathe. They come in sizes
that will cope with everything from a small to heavy flow.
We make our cloth pads with some really funky patterns. You know what I like about cloth pads? I can choose one to suit my mood! Red for my grumpy days and floral for fun
days. You can’t do that with regular
pads, can you?
